Welsh speakers were asked to be scanned in the MRI machine. In the machine, a series of common Welsh words were presented which contained particular sounds. Then, software was used to make sure that the recordings are clear and easy to understand.

The dataset includes 20 recordings of Welsh speakers from different backgrounds. Clips of speakers were used in order to draw attention to common pronunciation difficulties. You can see all the words produced by individuals by clicking below.
